If it Ain't One Thing...

Friday, August 15, 2003 -- Cathi took the boys into Corpus this evening while I stayed behind to finish the plumbing job I started yesterday. By sundown, I had everything glued and screwed back into place. I turned the water back on to find the hot water connection was now leaking instead of the cold. I should be an easy fix, but by that point I was too tired to mess with it. There is another hurricane (Erika) churning out in the gulf. It is expected to make landfall in the vicinity of Brownsville first thing tomorrow morning so we probably have a rainy couple of days ahead of us. Earlier this afternoon, I put the boys to work clearing the yard of potential air-born objects in case the storm turns in our direction.
