Wednesday, August 13, 2003 -- I forgot to turn off the soaker hose yesterday and found the garden flooded this morning. The thunderstorms predicted by local weathermen were a no-show so it may have been for the best. Cathi out-did herself in the kitchen this evening. The boys and I were less than enthusiastic about last night's pozole, but tonight's cheesy quiche thingy was a big hit. The faucet in our kitchen sink hasn't been cooperating over the last few weeks. Tonight it stopped functioning altogether so I ended up doing a little midnight plumbing repair. Now if I can just track down an old fashioned replacement.
