Threatening Weather

Saturday, August 30, 2003 -- Cathi loaded up the boys and took off to Corpus. "We'll be back either Sunday night or Monday afternoon" she said. I had forgotten that Monday was Labor Day. It looks like I'll enjoy a nice quiet weekend to myself. I heard a weather report that a tornado touched down in Victoria this afternoon. The skies to the northeast of Skidmore were dark and I heard a few rumbles of thunder but it all dissipated after just a few sprinkles. It looks like our only hope for rain will come at a price. Tropical Depression "Grace" is expected to make landfall in the same vicinity as "Claudette" sometime tomorrow.
