Dove hunting... and uh... not finding.

Saturday, October 11, 2003 -- Josh and I had lunch at Chishom, then stopped by Grandma's to see why she wasn't getting her email. It turned out to be an easy fix and we had plenty of time to get ready for this afternoon's dove hunt. Cathi's dad leased the property in Karnes City and he, Arnold, and Zach picked us up at the house. Unfortunately, the hunting was nowhere near as good as the last trip. We theorized that the recent rains were keeping the doves from having to water at the tanks. The boys talked Papaw into stopping for dinner at Barths in Kennedy where we ran into the very friendly and talkative father-in-law of one of Zach's teachers.
