The Funeral

Tuesday, Feb 10, 2004 -- Brett Michael Huser, teenage son of Doug and Desiree Huser and big brother to Ty Huser, was laid to rest this afternoon at Beeville Memorial Park not far from Weldon's Howard's final resting place. The boys and I participated in the graveside service by tossing a handful of sand onto Brett's casket. The priest explained that it was an old Irish tradition to allow mourners the opportunity to play a part in the burial process.
