Zach Goes Missing

Monday, April 5, 2004 -- Zach attended his last track meet of the year in Yorktown today. He was awarded fourth in pole vault but I missed the whole thing despite having driven an hour in to see him compete. After about 45 minutes of searching for Zach at the stadium I was seriously considering calling 911 to report a missing child when I finally spotted him walking across the football field. It seems one of the events in which he was competing was held 1/2 a mile away from the stadium and he was just returning.
