No Shrek Today

Saturday, May 22, 2004 -- Josh says he and Coleman and friends stayed up past midnight watching Jackie Chan's First Strike. They dropped him off a the house around 3 pm. Our attempt to see the movie "Shrek II" failed when we found the show was sold out at the Beeville Theater. We opted instead for a quick trip to Walmart and La Paletera. After dropping Cathi off at the house, Josh and I drove into Mathis to have their Little League president, Adrien Pena, belatedly sign an inter-league form. We stopped in Tynan to check in on Ed Wilson and Richard Chambers who are cooking the brisket for tomorrow's Little League fundraiser. Later, we ended up at the Hilltop Saloon to sample some barbecue from the fire department cook-off and play a little pool.
