Zach Takes 3rd Place in Refugio Tennis Tournament

Tuesday, May 5, 2004 -- Zach attended the district tennis tournament in Refugio this afternoon. The lady running the tournament messed up the brackets and Zach (our top player) ended up playing Yortown's top player well before the final rounds. Both players were very evenly matched and with games tied at 6-6 Zach ended up losing 7-5 in the tie-breaker. Because the brackets weren't set up properly, Zach had to play for 3rd Place (which he won) instead of 2nd. While in Refugio, I finally made it by their museum before it closed and had a nice chat with the lady in charge. She was well aware of ggg-grandma Elizabeth Hart and showed me the two items they had on hand at the museum - both of which I had already researched unfortunately.
