Big Bang Theory

Wednesday, July 14, 2004 -- While digging around in the refrigerator at bedtime, I found a disturbingly swollen can of "Diet Coke with Lime." There's only one thing to be done in a situation like this. The boys put their shoes back on and joined me in the front yard where we gave the can a final violent shake and threw it high into the air. It hit the intersection like a rock, but sadly, did not "asplode." The can was making a hissing noise when I gingerly picked it up and gave it a second toss. This time it hit the pavement with an impressively loud BANG! - disproving my earlier statement "It's not like it's going to actually go off like a bomb or anything." The boys gave the performance two thumbs up
