Hunters Return Unscathed

Sunday, January 9, 2005 -- Cathi and the boys returned from Corpus this evening. In Zach's case, he returned from quail hunting near Rio Grande City with Papaw and uncle Arnold. It's good to see everyone back safe and sound. I envisioned a covey of quail exploding from the underbrush and Zach accidentally shooting someone in the butt. Zach's adoptive stray dog "Buddy" developed a nasty sore on his neck Friday that turned positively green over the course of the weekend. I am planning to take him straight to the vet tomorrow morning.
