Joshua Succumbs to Temptation

Saturday, January 8, 2005 -- Cathi and Nana drove into Three Rivers from Corpus for Joshua's freshman basketball tournament. Cathi was upset to find non-freshmen playing the team since it resulted in additional bench time for Josh. After the game, Joshua couldn't decide whether to come home with me for possible pool-playing at one of the local beer joints or join his mother for a guaranteed lunch at Kings Inn tomorrow. In the end, though his brain said billiards, his stomach demanded seafood. Angie & Johnny are down for the weekend. After a short visit at Grandma's house, I followed Angie out to the ranch to check Garrett & Whitney's progress on the new house. Grandma let me take home some of uncle Ronnie's turnip greens and spinach. They made for a tasty (and strange now that I think about it) midnight snack.
