Monday, May 9, 2005 -- ...and I lost. Oh well, there's always next year. On a side note, the Sunday issue of the Caller-Times substituted the number 4 for the 2 in Robert Handy's total of 296. Instead of winning a place on the school board as reported, he ended up right back down at the bottom of the heap with me. Sorry Mr. Handy. Aside from the election defeat, the rest of the weekend went pretty well. Crazy aunt Angie brought Whitney along to Zach's ball game Saturday. We lost as usual but the boys are getting pretty thick skinned and didn't take it too hard. Zach hit a nice single right up the middle and the team made a few good plays alongside the busted ones. Uncle Bubba called Sunday morning to invite us to Mother's Day lunch at Chisholm where we had a nice sit down chat with the rest of the family. Our trip to George West to sign up the boys for a "Select" baseball team was cancelled due to bad weather. Unfortunately, the thunderstorm that passed over our house only dropped about a quarter inch of rain.
