On to San Marcos
Sunday, November 27, 2005 -- so tired... internet so slow... more to come... and here it is... Cathi forced me out of bed this morning for breakfast at Maudie's Cafe (David's brilliant idea got me my Pete's taco fix). Eloy & Nora joined us with kids in tow. Scott and Henry were dressed in not-quite-matching-but-close red shirts. Younger brother Scott was highly entertained when the waitress dumped a glass of ice water down brother Henry's back.
After lunch, we took a short tour of David's new house, stopped by my favorite convenience store "Whip In" and wasted an hour or two browsing the same old City-Wide Garage Sale junk they were trying to sell five years ago. At least Josh managed to pick a few coins to add to his collection.
Other stops on the way back to Skidville included the Cabella's store in Buda (all the attractions of a zoo without the necessity to feed and clean up after the animals), lunch at Grins in San Marcos, and the San Marcos bowling alley for a Manske Roll after Gils Broiler (home of the Manske) was inexplicably out of the buttery rolls.
