Countdown 21 Days

Monday, January 9, 2005 -- Yep, just 21 days to the start of baseball practice. Josh and Ricky decided to play catch after school today and I had the chance to talk to coach Gonzales while he worked on the field. He said practice would officially start January 30th. Can't wait to see how the season turns out and where the boys end up playing. I'm a little worried about Zach since so many older kids transferring out of Beeville are likely to fill spots on the Junior Varsity team. At least Coach Ray agreed to let Zach drop out of basketball (there are only 2 other freshman teams in the district and injuries and poor grades have benched most of his teammates). Maybe he can get a jump on the other kids still playing JV basketball.
