Easing into Baseball Season

Saturday, January 21, 2005 -- The folks running the Babe Ruth league in George West called to see if Josh and Zach were interested in coming to practice with the team. I guess that means Zach will definitely be invited to play again this year. Joshua is too old to play on Zach's team so he'll end playing for Three Rivers (he missed last week's scrimmage with Beeville). With any luck, he'll get a regular spot on the team this year since he'll be playing the entire season with them.

It was cold and drizzling when we arrived at the high school field in George West but they went ahead with practice anyway. Joshua wasn't too impressed and says he'd rather practice with his buddies in Skidmore. Just one more week to High School practice and a little over two weeks till their first scrimmage. Yeehaw.

Back at the house (after burgers at the Ranch House in Three Rivers), we corrected our leaning bed problem and installed Cathi's new adjustable bed gizmo. Now she can watch TV sitting upright. Tomorrow we lay tile in the kitchen!
