Josh Feigns Non-Injury

022806 Varsity Baseball Odem - 2

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 -- There was considerable discussion among the spectators as to why Joshua wasn't putting much effort into throwing out runners stealing 2nd base in today's Varsity game vs Odem. Some speculated he was mad because coach wasn't letting him bat and had assigned a designated hitter in his place. That seemed pretty unlikely to me as Josh usually gives it his all when it comes to baseball. As it turns out, he hurt his arm sometime midway through the game and was trying to do just enough to keep the other team from realizing they could run on him indiscriminately.

Zach pitched the first few innings of the JV game prior to Joshua's so they both ended up with ice packs on their arms for the trip home.
