Starving Children

Wednesday, June 28, 2006 -- "This is the closest to real steamed rice I've ever eaten." High praise indeed from the children who routinely grouse over whatever dish is set before them. Looks like simple boiling of Zataran's Extra Long Grain Rice and a bit of stir fried okra with homegrown "Cosmic Purple Carrots" is all it took to satisfy their teenage taste buds. Zach insisted on cooking a second pot of rice which he intends to have for lunch tomorrow. Strangely, frozen cucumbers have also been added to the list of favorite foods.
