Final Win of the Season

Thursday, November 9, 2006 -- Uncle Bubba invited Cathi and I to dinner at Backstreet in Sinton before tonight's final JV football game against taft. The boys ended the season with a decisive win, hopefully setting the tone for Friday's varsity game in which the playoffs are in the balance. Zach scored the first touchdown of the game which aunt Angie quickly claimed was "for me." In a staggeringly unexpected display of brotherly love, Zach asked the coach if he could throw a pass to Josh in the final moments of the game. He got the "go ahead" but I guess Josh couldn't quite wrap his mind around the concept and was unable to get a handle on the ball. In Joshua's defense, it was his first pass of the season. If Zach had thrown him another and he caught it, he would have ended the season with the best pass reception percentage on the team. " ," said Josh after the game, adding " ."
