Doe Boy

Saturday, January 20, 2007 -- While Joshua was off competing in "number sense" in the Three Rivers UIL meet, Zach took uncles Bubba and Ronnie up on their offer to go deer hunting. Ronnie picked up Zach at 2:00 this afternoon and took him out to Will's "La Copa" hunting lease. Sure enough, they returned shortly after dark with a doe in the back of Ronnie's truck. Ronnie arranged to drop the deer at Elders Market in Beeville for processing and we are planning to split the cost and meat. An unfortunate side affect of the successful hunt will be Zach's insistence at every meal that HE was the one who brought home the meat and HE should be the one who gets to say who gets to eat it. What fun.
