Josh and Buddy on the DL

Sunday, March 11, 2007 -- What a weekend. Not only did we lose EVERY game at this weekend's Ingleside baseball tournament, but Joshua stepped in a hole just before this morning's game and fractured his foot. He was scheduled to pitch and after one practice pitch from the mound gave up and limped off the field. We took him to the emergency room at Spohn Hospital in Corpus and were held hostage there for 11 hours before he was finally released at 3:00 a.m. with a big boot and instructions to see an orthopedic surgeon. Needless to say, we all slept late Sunday morning.

Sunday, while Cathi and I were in Beeville picking up Joshua's pain medication, Buddy the dog was run over for a second time. He once again appears to have survived the experience with only minor injuries.
