Zach Gets Mugged

Friday, March 23, 2007 -- Zach was robbed of a win in today's game vs. Bloomington. Zach pitched a shutout through five innings when, in the 6th, one of the umpires made yet another questionable call allowing a run to score. In the 7th, with the Bobcats still leading 3-1 and two men on base, Zach was relieved at the mound. Two thirds of an inning later, the Bobcats lost the game - not to Bloomington - but to the officials calling the game. Having called many Little League games myself, I am usually sympathetic to the umpires, but the officiating in this game was just ridiculous.
