Annoying the children, one day at a time.

Not Superstitious

Friday, July 13, 2007 -- This evening I spent half a sweaty hour fighting mosquitos while fencing a portion of the back yard. My plan was to have Rocky the goat eat down the head-high johnson grass obscuring the woodpile. Once securely fenced, Rocky looked left, look right, then jumped the fence and trotted across the street to rejoin Lambus and baby.

Joshua talked me into playing home run derby at the high school softball field. We gave up after losing most of the baseballs in the high grass (for the record, Zach won, 6 home runs to Joshua's 2).

Back at the house we found a huge tree limb had partially fallen in the back yard and was hanging precariously over the gas meter. The lady from the gas company says I should call the tree trimming crew tomorrow morning. Assuming a midnight explosion doesn't flatten the whole block, I plan to do so.

On top of all this, my promo concepts were rejected, and the check was NOT in the mail.

Friday the 13th?
