1920 - 2007
December 15, 2007 -- Cathi's grandmother, Lil "Mimi" Strickland, passed away Wednesday after a long battle with Alzheimers. We attended her funeral service this afternoon at the Methodist Church in Corpus Christi. Josh helped cousin Nikki read a poem in Mimi's honor and did a good job keeping his composure during an emotional service. The Caller-Times ran the obituary.
Mimi was a very sweet lady. Back when Cathi and I first started dating, I remarked, "I don't think your grandmother likes me." My comment found its way back to her through the family grapevine and Mimi went out of her way to be nice to me from that day forward.
