Sunday, May 11, 2008 -- Uncle Bubba treated everyone to a Mothers Day lunch at Odem's Railroad Seafood Station. He not only paid for everyone's meal, but also arrived an hour early so we could all sit down immediately upon arrival. What a great son... he's making Ronnie and I look bad.

Back in Skidville, I joined Ronnie at the garden and planted a whole row of asparagus crowns. I special ordered them from a nursery up north and can only hope they will survive the deer, the rabbits, and our brutal South Texas summer. Spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening mowing the old railroad tracks for the Water Board.
