Killing God's Creatures

Monday, November 3, 2008 -- It's a good thing I cleaned out the garage last week. Zach shot a deer Sunday out at Ronnie's garden and I would never otherwise have found the meat grinder and other tools we used to dress it out. Zach and I spent the last two evenings processing the meat. Cathi cooked us up a pot of deer chili for our efforts. Luckily, Ronnie's hunting permission included a provision for taking half the meat, so a front and hind quarter went home with him.
